Superdrug’s Natural High Skincare

Hello cupcakes, Superdrug’s Natural High Skincare range has been available for a while now and as it’s often on offer my Budget Beauty Queen bargain hunting led me to picking up a couple of their products to try out – the Radiance Balm and the Brightening Eye Cream.
Superdrug describe the Natural High range as ‘a skincare range that’s high in organic extracts and natural ingredients - so you can give your skin the care and attention it deserves – naturally’.

I’m not going to try and sell this to you as an alternative to higher end products because quite simply, it’s not! The packaging reflects the price (both these products cost £4.99 but I picked them both up half price at £2.49) but despite that they are both nice products.
Natural High Radiance Balm
The radiance balm contains Organic Olive Oil, Witch Hazel and Elderberry and contains light reflecting particles to give an instant illuminating lift to your skin, leaving it soft, smooth and radiant. Some people have said its a purse friendly alternative to Clarins Beauty Flash Balm which I suppose it is. So called Radiance Balms have popped up all over the place on the high street and this is definitely the cheapest. First impressions were that I didn’t really like the smell! It’s quite thick and white and left my hands feeling a bit greasy after applying. However, that greasiness didn’t translate to my face. When smoothed on with my fingers it left my skin feeling soft and smooth and provided a good base for my makeup. As far as brightening, there wasn’t anything amazing to report. I’d recommend this as more of a primer or morning moisturiser.
Natural High Brightening Eye Cream
The eye cream contains Organic Rose Hip Oil, Arnica and a Multi Fruit Blend. Now, I’ll be honest with you. I’ve always been rubbish at using an eye cream. There are too many out there and I never really knew where to start. Some of the them also cost a fortune and I guess I didn’t know enough about them to know where to invest! For £2.49 I figured I’d give this a go and see if I would even remember to apply it before I went to bed. I’ve surprised myself because I actually do apply this every single night. It’s a slightly thicker cream that’s non-greasy and sinks into the skin quickly. I apply it all round my eyes working outwards. I’ve been using it for around three weeks now and the skin around my eyes is definitely softer. I wouldn’t say it’s any brighter but I’m hoping it’ll at least keep wrinkles at bay for a little while!
Has anyone tried any of the other products from the Natural High range? Or can you recommend another eye cream that I should try? I of course quite fancy the Origins one but I’m not sure if I’m ready to spend that much yet!
