In order to operate at your best and get the most out of life you really need to have sufficient energy levels to do that. As someone who is often tired in the mornings, at work and in the evenings there are many occasions when I put of doing constructive things due to lack of energy. Continue reading
Life’s most difficult questions and how to find answers…
Will you ever find the answer to some of life’s most profound questions? Now you can through the new science of opposites, or ‘Oppositology’.
This science sheds light on some of the most common questions man has and really calls to question some of the fundamental flaws in human thinking that even our greatest minds have not identified. That is until now. With your help we can spread this science throughout the world so that it is taught in schools and no longer will people have to suffer with unanswered questions or often, and more dangerously, incorrectly answered questions to the problems of life. How to get hundreds of free Kindle books without a Kindle and without living in the US!
Very briefly, the Kindle is an electronic book. Unlike a normal computer screen the Kindle is designed especially to make it easy to read lots of text. It does look a lot like reading a book but you can get thousands of books into the space of a single book. Continue reading
Do you ever set goals but don’t follow through? End that today!
I am sure most of you have heard of Benjamin Franklin. He accomplished so many things in his life, I won’t attempt to write his biography here.
He used a very simple tracking system to see if he was living by his virtues. His autobiography listed 13 virtues. He didn’t try to live up to all 13 every single day, but focued on a few at a time. Gradually over time he improved in all areas though consistent conscious effort, monitoring and the formation of habits. Continue reading
I finished the marathon but should I be proud?
It took me 5 hours and 24 minutes… but I have some excuses… I wasn’t feeling well and had to stop 4 times for the toilet (the queues didn’t help). There was also a hen party in my hotel and I didn’t get to sleep until 3.30am and was up at 6.30 to have breakfast and get a taxi to the start line. Continue reading
Can you only develop one habit at a time?
Leo Babauta of zenhabits.net suggests that you can only learn one new habit at a time. Start small, maybe 15 minutes a day and keep it up for a month, then focus on a second habit.
This certainly makes sense. If you all of a sudden try and fit 4 new things into every day you might really struggle to find the time and as soon as you say to yourself, “I’ve ran out of time to do that today, I’ll to do tomorrow.” There is a good chance you’ll put it off again tomorrow and all of a sudden its no longer a habit.
Why property is always the best investment
To start with I want to make it clear I am referring to investment property and not your primary residence or holiday home. A home you live in costs you money every month and the maintenance comes from your wages. It is not an investment. If you live in 10 houses and pay for them all yourself you cannot retire from that. If you have 10 houses you rent out that is a different story.

New Year Plans
I got off to a late start this year but I still have big plans.

If your drill down into these in more detail there is a lot of work involved. Continue reading
Beginning Training
Going forward this blog will be used more as a journal to track how well or how badly I am doing.
Saturday 5th Feb
2.34 miles in 25 minutes. On the face of it, that isn’t great. But I was testing interval training. I ran 7 intervals of 320m with 3 mins rest. This is uploaded and verified on my Garmin account. Continue reading
